Brangelina were adament they weren’t going to marry each other after they both suffered painful divorces and because of Brad’s opposal to US laws against homosexual marriages.

Melanie Brown has defended new husband Stephen Belafonte’s reputation after he was accused of beating up  an ex-girlfriend and withholding child support payments. Stephen is said to have hit Nicole Contreras, the mother of his daughter Giselle, while drunk in May 2003 and was put on probation and ordered to attend a domestic violence programme after the incident. The Spice Girl told Hello! magazine recently: “Everything I stand for is about being a strong, independent woman, so for him to be seen as a wife beater is devastating for me because he’s not – he never has been.” “They’re trying to make him out to be this aggressive, violent, woman batterer and he’s not. If you read those police reports, they never say he physically beat up a woman.” “I don’t like that my friends and family read this and go into shock-horror mode, thinking, ‘Oh, she’s married a psychopath!’.” The couple married in a secret wedding ceremony  in June, just months after the old friends started dating. Melanie explained that Stephen proposed by “hiding” a ring in her drink: “I took one big, deep breath and said, ‘Yes’. As well as going, ‘Thank you God! Don’t let me down. Not for the third time’.

DJ Chris Evans has revealed wedding news that he has married golf
professional Natasha Shishmanian, 27, on Saturday. The simple ceremony
took place at a registry office in Guildford, Surry in a private
occasion. The wedding is the third for Evans, 41 who has previously
been married to Carol McGiffin and actress Billie Piper.

Even though the ceremony was low-key, we hear the stag party was
full on and can’t wait for the photos! The wedding news follows on from
the earlier news that Shane Lynch also married in a low key event,
perhaps marking a new celebrity wedding trend, especially after the
summer of WAG weddings!

It looks as though it will take more than Windex to clean up the mess surrounding My Big Fat Greek Wedding’s profits.

More than five years after its release, co-producers Tom Hanks, Rita Wilson and Gary Goetzman, along with writer Nia Vardalos, have filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court against Gold Circle Films LLC alleging that they are still owed profits from that company.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding won acclaim when it was released as a quiet indie film in 2002. It went on to become one of the highest-grossing films of that year and garnered Vardalos an Oscar nomination for screenwriting, among many other honours.

The film easily surpassed its $5-million (U.S.) budget, going on to make around $370-million worldwide, according to Box Office Mojo, a tracking firm. According to the plaintiffs, Gold Circle maintains that the receipts totalled only $278-million.

Spice Girl Mel B has revealed that she has been secretly married to film producer Stephen Belafonte since July!

Mel B married in July at the Special Memory Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, only after making her new husband sign a watertight pre-nuptial agreement.
The Sun reports Mel B as saying: “Stephen and I have known each other for seven years. We wanted to make a commitment. We wanted it to be private and have a big wedding with our families later in the year.”

Mel B is currently in a battle with film star Eddie Murphy regarding paternity of her 4 month old daughter Angel Iris, and follows hot on the news that Murhpy himself is set to get married to girlfriend of 10 months Tracey Edmonds. Defoe Brings Forward Wedding – By One Year!

Footballer Jermaine Defoe has bought forward wedding plans to girlfriend Charlotte Meares by a full year in response to claims that he had been caught “playing away”with an eighteen year old shop assistant. Reports in the Daily Mirror suggest that Jermaine rung the changes after Claire Chidley claimed that he had been seeing her as well.

Jermaine and Charlotte will now wed next July 5 at a £1million ceremony in a castle in Cambridge after the striker called Charlotte from South Africa, where he is in pre-season training to move the date forward. Defoe has denied the claims by Chidley. The Mirror quotes a friend as saying “He told Charlotte he wanted to prove his love to her and was not going to let a kiss-and-tell girl come between them. They set a date and are over the moon.”
